Below is everything needed to know about each of Overwatch 2's support heroes!
ANA
Hero Type: Hitscan and Projectile
Weapon type:Biotic Rifle; Long range rifle that heals allies and damages enemies Alt-Fire; Hold down for a scope
Ability 1: Sleep Dart; Fires a dart that puts an enemy to sleep
Ability 2: Biotic Grenade; Throws a grenade that heals and increases healing on allies, damages and prevents healing on enemies
Ultimate: Nano-Boost; Increases an ally's damage, while reducing damage taken
Strengths: Heals at any range, Arguably has the best kit in the game, Smallest hitbox, Deals decent damage
Weaknesses: Lacks any means of mobility, Easily outflanked and vulnerable to mobile heroes, Requires high skill to play well
BAPTISTE
Hero Type: Hitscan
Weapon type: Biotic Launcher; Three-round burst gun Alt-Fire; Healing device that lobs AOE projectiles at allies
Ability 1: Regenerative Burst; Activate a burst that heals himself and nearby allies over time
Ability 2: Immortality Field; Create a field that prevents allies dying - generator can be destroyed
Passive ability: Exo Boosts; Hold crouch to jump higher
Ultimate: Amplification Matrix; Project a matrix that doubles the damage and healing effects of allied projectiles
Strengths: Bunker type compositions, High heals and damage - His Matrix can outdamage Transendence
Weaknesses: Very situational effectiveness levels, Not the best with mobile team compositions, Quite high skill to use
BRIGITTE
Hero Type: Melee
Weapon Type: Rocket Flail; Melee weapon with extended range, can strike multiple at once
Ability 1: Repair Pack; Heals an ally for a short time
Ability 2:Whip Shot; Throw her flail a long distance, dealing damage and knocking enemies away
Ability 3:Barrier Shield; Deploy a frontal barrier that absorbs limited amounts of damage
Ability 4:Shield Bash; Available when Barrier Shield is up, dash forward to knock back an enemy
Passive ability: Inspire; Dealing damage to enemies heals nearby allies
Ultimate: Rally; Gain armour, empowers Barrier Shield, Provide extra health to nearby
Strengths: Versatile, Front-line unit, Close Range, Large healing aura
Weaknesses: No way of harming enemy at range, She is easily rendered useless, Quite reliant on her teammates to be useful
KIRIKO
Hero Type: Projectile
Weapon type: Healing Ofuda; Channel a burst of healing talismans that can seek targeted allies Kunai; Thrown projectile that deals increased critical damage
Ability 1: Swift Step; A volley of sticky bombs that detonate after a little while
Ability 2: Protection Suzu; Throw a protective charm to make allies become briefly invulnerable and cleansed of most negative effects
Passive ability: Wall Climb; Jump at walls to climb them
Ultimate: Kitsune Rush; Summon a fox spirit that rushes forward, accelerating movement, attack speed, and cooldowns of allies in its path
Strengths: Adaptive to many team compositions, Very mobile, High damage, Valuable ultimate, Suzu counters many abilities in the game
Weaknesses: Her Kunai's can be hard to hit especially headshots, Not intentional but her kit can be quite buggy; Teleport sometimes wont work and Suzu can cleanse enemies and not self
LUCIO
Hero Type: Projectile
Weapon Type: Sonic Amplifier; Hit enemies with sonic projectiles Soundwave;Knock back enemies with a blast of sound
Ability 1: Crossfade; Switch between two songs - one amplifies movement the other regenerates health
Ability 2: Amp It Up; Increases the volume on his speakers boosting the effect of either his heal or speed
Passive Ability: Wall Ride; Jump onto a wall to ride along it
Ultimate: Sound Barrier; Create temporary extra health for nearby allies and self
Strengths: Fastest support player, High value ultimate, Very good for contensting point if played well
Weaknesses: Requires decently high skill to play well, Only provides AOE healing which can be easily outdamaged,
MERCY
Hero Type: Projectile
Weapon type: Caduceus Blaster; Automatic Weapon, Caduceus StaffStaff that engages two beams that connects to an ally - heal or damage boost
Ability 1: Guardian Angel; Fly towards a targeted ally
Ability 2: Resurrect; Bring back a dead ally back
Passive ability: Sympathetic Recovery; Healing allies with her staff heals you
Passive ability: Angelic Descent; Holding space Mercy can float until she lands on the ground
Ultimate: Valkyrie; Gain the ability to fly, her abilities are enhanced
Strengths: Doesn't require too much skill, Strong ultimate in terms of mobility and healing/damage-boost output, High mobility, Damage boost is strong - enables one shots
Weaknesses: Dependent on teammates for survival, Low damage output, Not much range in abilities aside from aiding her teammates
MOIRA
Hero Type: Beam
Weapon Type: Biotic Grasp; Left hand heals allies in front - consumes energy, Right hand is a long range beam weapon - damage dealt heals you and replenishes energy
Ability 1: Biotic Orb; Launch a bouncing sphere that either heals nearby allies or damages nearby enemies
Ability 2: Fade; Disappear, move faster, become invulnerable - cannot shoot
Ultimate: Coalescence; Fire a beam that heals allies and damages enemies
Strengths: Strong damage against lower health heroes, Fade allows for strong mobility, Ultimate deals decent healing and damage
Weaknesses: Healing runs out - it's not as consistent as healers generally need to be, Ultimate can be useless and also shutdown
ZENYATTA
Hero Type: Projectile
Weapon type: Orb of Destruction; project individual energy orbsAlt-Fire; project rapid-fire volley after a few seconds of gathering power
Ability 1: Orb of Discord; Launch at an enemy to increase the damage they take
Ability 2: Orb of Harmony; Launch at an ally to heal them
Passive ability: Snap Kick; Quick melee damage increased by 50%, knockback significantly increased
Ultimate: Transcendence; Become invulnerable, move faster, and heal nearby allies
Strengths: High damage, Strong against tanks, Can burst down enemies extremely fast, Very useful ultimate
Weaknesses: Very weak to flankers, Incredibly low base health, Half shields for health, High skill to be fully useful
